Drug-driving convictions quashed over forensics lab tampering claims

More than 40 people have had drug-driving convictions quashed after an investigation into alleged data tampering at a lab.

More than 10,500 cases opened since 2014 have been retested, according to the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).

The alleged tampering is said to have happened at a Randox Testing Services (RTS) site in Manchester.
